SATA Data Recovery

SATA ( Serial ) hard drive media is a relatively new interface type which offers operational improvements over existing ( Parallel ) PATA architecture.

Faster transfer rates of data via SATA 1.5 Gbit/s, SATA 3.0 Gbit/s and the proposed SATA 6.0 Gbit/s offer users a more productive paltform to accomplish their tasks with excellent ROI ( Return On Investment ) and larger storage capacities, although not reaching the performance of SCSI interface the new technology is a welcome introduction to faster cheaper systems.

SATA interface cables offer a smaller footprint in their form factor to ATA 40 pin cables which allow for more room inside the computer better cooling characteristics and are athestically more pleasing. The core of the cable is based on 7 pins rather than PATA 40 pins.

Fundamentally the core of the SATA hard drive media is identical with the only major difference being the SATA interface which requires only minor modifications to to our existing data recovery equipment to retrieve lost data.

WD Raptor hard drive manufactured via Western Digital are superbly engineered with fast read and write access and exceptional MTBF ( Mean Time Between Failure ) this SATA disk when configured to a RAID array offers a very reliable and fast system able to cope with most modern demands which may be placed upon it.

Laptop, CD DVD and external media are now being produced with SATA interfaces.
